To change your password for your Borrowell account, follow these steps based on whether you need to reset a forgotten password or simply want to update it for security reasons.
If You Forgot Your Password
- Reset Password: Click on the password reset link provided in the Borrowell login section.
- Enter Email: Input your Borrowell account email address and click the "Reset Password" button.
- Check Your Email: You will receive an email with a password reset link. Note that this link expires in 60 minutes.
- Create New Password: Click the "Reset My Password" button in the email and enter your desired new password. Ensure that:
- Your new password contains at least 8 characters, including at least 1 number.
- You re-type your email address and new password manually to avoid errors from autofill or password managers.
If You Want to Change Your Password While Logged In
From the Mobile App:
- Open App: Launch the Borrowell app on your device.
- Access Profile: Click the icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
- Edit Profile: Select "Edit Your Profile."
- Change Password: Under Profile Information, click "Password" and follow the prompts to update it.
From a Computer or Laptop Web Browser:
- Log In: Sign into your Borrowell account.
- Profile Access: Click your name in the top right corner of the page.
- Select Profile: Choose "Profile" from the drop-down menu.
- Update Password: Under Account Settings, click "Update password" and enter your new password.
From a Mobile Web Browser:
- Log In: Open Borrowell in your mobile web browser and sign in.
- Menu Access: Click the three horizontal lines in the top left or right corner of the page.
- Select Profile: Choose "Profile" from the menu.
- Change Password: Under Account Settings, click "Update password" to change it.
After completing these steps, ensure that you save any changes made to confirm your new password is active.
