NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. SEE BELOW FOR FULL CONTEST DETAILS. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF, AND AGREEMENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY, THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).
ELIGIBILITY
1. The Contest is open to Borrowell Free Credit Score members who reside in Canada at the time of entry and the time of the draw. Participants must have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry.
2. Employees (and such individuals’ immediate family members and persons with whom such employees are domiciled) of Borrowell, and anyone professionally connected with the Contest and/or Borrowell are not eligible to win the Grand Prize. For the purposes of the Contest Rules, “immediate family” refers to the father, mother, brothers, sisters, children, husband, wife or partner of such an employee, agent and/or representative.
CONTEST PERIOD
3. The Contest begins on June 1, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”). The Contest Period is divided into:
a) Daily Entry Periods: each calendar day during the Contest Period, commencing at 12:00 a.m. ET and ending at 11:59 p.m. ET on that same day (each, a “Daily Entry Period”); and
b) Grand Prize Entry Period: the full Contest Period, from June 1, 2026 at 12:00am ET through June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Grand Prize Entry Period”).
HOW TO ENTER
4. Daily Prize - Entry Method (No Purchase Necessary)
To earn one (1) entry into a Daily Prize draw, an eligible member must, during the applicable Daily Entry Period:
a) Log into their Borrowell account via the Borrowell mobile application or website (“Borrowell Platform”);
b) Navigate to the Mystery Box feature and open your Mystery Box; and
c) Correctly answer the Skill-Testing Question presented at the time of opening.
No purchase is required to open a Mystery Box. This feature is made available free of charge to all eligible Borrowell members. Unused daily entries carry forward to subsequent Daily Entry Periods or to the Grand Prize Draw.
5. End of Month Grand Prize - Entry Methods
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. There are six (6) methods by which an eligible member may accumulate entries into the Grand Prize draw (each, a “Qualifying Action”). Each method constitutes a separate and independent basis for entry and awards a different number of entries as specified below.
a) Method 1 - Mystery Box Method: each time an eligible member opens a Mystery Box in accordance with Section 4 during the Grand Prize Entry Period, the entrant will receive ten (10) to fifty (50) entries (which shall be determined by Borrowell) into the Grand Prize draw.
b) Method 2 - Credit Card Approval Method: each time an eligible member applies for a credit card through the Borrowell Platform during the Grand Prize Entry Period and gets approved by the credit card provider for said credit card before June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET, the entrant will receive 1,500 entries into the Grand Prize draw. Maximum of 3,000 entries per entrant via this method during the Grand Prize Entry Period (i.e. a maximum of two (2) approved credit card applications will count toward entries).
c) Method 3 - Weekly Survey Method: each time an eligible member completes the Weekly Survey during the Grand Prize Entry Period, the entrant will receive 200 entries into the Grand Prize Draw. Only one (1) Weekly Survey completion per entrant per week will be counted.
d) Method 4 - Credit Builder Payment Method: each time an eligible member makes a successful payment on their Credit Builder, the entrant will receive 500 entries in the Grand Prize Draw. Maximum of 500 entries per entrant via this method during the Grand Prize Entry Period (i.e. only one (1) payment per entrant will be counted).
e) Method 5 - Rent Advantage Payment Method: each time an eligible member makes a successful payment on their Rent Advantage product or past rent payments product, the entrant will receive 500 entries in the Grand Prize Draw. Maximum of 500 entries per entrant via this method during the Grand Prize Entry Period (i.e. only one (1) payment per entrant will be counted).
f) Method 6 - Essay Method (No Purchase Entry): a member may hand-print their name, mailing address, e-mail, telephone number and a unique and original essay of 100 words or more. The essay must be titled “If you woke up tomorrow with a perfect credit score and no debt, what is the very first financial goal you would pursue? Describe how achieving this would change your day-to-day life.” and address that topic. Mail the completed essay into a sealed postage pre-paid envelope to WeWork c/o Borrowell Inc., 1 University Ave, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON M5J 2P1 to receive 1,500 entries into the Grand Prize Draw. Mail must be datestamped no later than June 30, 2026 and must be received no later than July 6, 2026. No script, macro, robotic or other program-assisted, mechanically reproduced entries are permitted. Ineligible entries will be considered incomplete. Maximum of 1,500 entries per entrant via this method during the Grand Prize Entry Period (i.e. only one (1) qualifying essay submission per entrant will be counted).
6. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
PRIZES
7. Daily Prizes
During each Daily Entry Period, twelve (12) Daily Prizes will be available to be won, for a total of three hundred and sixty (360) Daily Prizes over the Contest Period. Each Daily Prize consists of an e-gift card in the amount of $10, $100 or $300, as determined by Borrowell at the time of each draw.
8. End of Month Grand Prize
There will be one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of a $10,000 CAD cash prize.
9. General Prize Conditions
Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. Borrowell reserves the right, for any reason and in its sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify the Prize with one of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes arising from receipt of a Prize. Borrowell will not withhold any taxes on behalf of a winner.
ODDS OF WINNING
10. Daily Prize: The odds of winning a Daily Prize on any given day depend on the total number of valid entries received during that Daily Entry Period.
11. Grand Prize: The odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the total number of valid entries accumulated by all eligible members during the Grand Prize Entry Period.
WINNER SELECTION
12. Daily Prize Winner Selection
Twelve (12) potential Daily Prize winners will be selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the applicable Daily Entry Period. Draws will be conducted on or about the Business Day following each Daily Entry Period.
13. Grand Prize Winner Selection
One (1) potential Grand Prize winner will be selected by random draw from all valid entries accumulated during the Grand Prize Entry Period. The Grand Prize draw will be conducted on or around August 31, 2026 in Toronto, Ontario, at approximately 12:00 p.m. ET. Any entry associated with a person described in Section 2 will be excluded from the Grand Prize draw.
WINNER NOTIFICATION
14. Each potential winner will be notified via the email address associated with their Borrowell account or within the Borrowell Platform, within two (2) Business Days of the applicable draw. “Business Day” means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or federal statutory holiday in Canada. Each entrant is responsible for ensuring that the email address associated with their Borrowell account is accurate, current and accessible only by you. Borrowell disclaims any liability for rewards that are delayed, undelivered, misdirected, intercepted or otherwise compromised.
15. The potential Grand Prize winner must confirm receipt of the notification within five (5) Business Days of notification. The potential Grand Prize winner must complete all steps outlined therein including correctly answering, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and signing a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release. The potential Grand Prize winner must provide valid payment or deposit information sufficient to receive the Grand Prize. Once the potential winner has satisfied these requirements, Borrowell will deliver the Grand Prize to the confirmed winner by electronic funds transfer or such other method as Borrowell may determine.
Borrowell reserves the right to confirm the validity of each entry method. This includes confirming credit card approval status by any method it deems necessary including, but not limited to, reviewing the Eligible Winner’s credit report data associated with their Borrowell account or requesting the Eligible Winner provide proof of approval status. This proof must be provided to Borrowell’s satisfaction within seven (7) calendar days from the date the Winner Notification is sent. You are responsible for ensuring that your credit report data is accurate. Borrowell is not responsible for any credit report errors.
Failure to comply with Borrowell’s verification requests will result in disqualification.
16. If a potential winner: (i) cannot be contacted within two (2) Business Days after the notification or there is a return of any prior notification as undeliverable; (ii) fails to comply with Borrowell’s verification requests; (iii) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; or (iv) fails to return the contest documents within the requested time period, then they will be disqualified and will forfeit the Prize. Borrowell reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to select an alternate entrant from among the remaining eligible entries in accordance with the Contest Rules. Borrowell is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a potential winner to receive notification or for Borrowell to receive a potential winner’s response. No correspondence will be entered into except with the potential winner of the Contest.
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
17. By participating in the Contest, the entrant understands and agrees that Borrowell will collect, use and disclose their personal information solely to administer the Contest in accordance with the Borrowell Privacy Policy (available at: https://borrowell.com/privacy-policy).
PUBLICITY
18. By accepting a prize, each confirmed winner grants to Borrowell a royalty-free, perpetual license to use the winner’s name, city and province of residence, the year in which they became a Borrowell member and/or the length of their Borrowell membership and general statements about the Contest for advertising and promotional purposes, in any media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation, notification or consent, except where prohibited by law.
RELEASE
19. By entering into the Contest, each entrant agrees to release and to hold Borrowell and its subsidiaries, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents and administrators (the “Releasees”) harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in the Contest, any breach of the Contest Rules or in any Prize-related activity.
20. Borrowell assumes no responsibility or liability for entries that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular or for any computer, software, hardware or technical malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an entry.
21. Borrowell will not be liable for any failure of the website during the Contest; for a technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any entry to be received by Borrowell for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; or any combination of the above. Further, Borrowell will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Contest.
22. Borrowell reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or amend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Borrowell that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules.
23. You assume liability for injuries or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Contest, or by the acceptance, possession of, use of, or failure to receive any Prize.
DISQUALIFICATION & TAMPERING
24. All entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. Borrowell reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility: (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason Borrowell deems necessary, in its sole discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Contest Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of Borrowell in a timely manner may result in disqualification.
25. Any attempt or suspected attempt to use robotic, automatic, programmed, or otherwise, illicit means to enter or otherwise participate in the Contest, or any other methods not authorized by these Contest Rules, for example, but not limited to, creating multiple Borrowell accounts, shall be deemed as tampering and may disqualify you from entering, participating, winning prizes (defined herein), and preclude you from participating in future contests and promotions, at the sole discretion of Borrowell.
26. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest website or otherwise undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Borrowell reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including but not limited to criminal prosecution.
GENERAL
27. By entering the Contest, you agree to abide by these Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law. The decisions of Borrowell with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.
28. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest Rules or the rights and obligations of participants, Borrowell or any of the other Released Parties in connection with the Contest will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. The parties hereby consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Ontario in any action to enforce (or otherwise relating to) these Contest Rules or relating to this Contest.
29. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between these Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to, any website(s), platform(s), point of sale, television, print or online advertising and/or any instructions or interpretations of these Contest Rules given by any representative of Borrowell, the Contest Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Contest Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Contest Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with the terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
