To generate a recovery code, please ensure two-step verification (2SV) is enabled in your account. For information on how to enable 2SV, please see How do I enable two-step verification (2SV)?
Once enabled, please follow the instructions below to generate a recovery code.
If you’re using the mobile app:
- After you’ve logged into your Borrowell account, click the icon found at the top right corner of the screen
- Select “Login and Security”
- Click on “Two-step verification” and ensure it is enabled. If it is not enabled, please enable it now to proceed.
- Under “Recovery code”, click on “Generate new code”
- Save the generated code. We recommend storing it in a password manager such as 1password or LastPass
If you’re using computer/laptop web browser or mobile web browser:
- After you’ve logged into your Borrowell account, click your name on the top right corner of the page (if you're on a computer or laptop web browser) or click the 3 horizontal lines on the top left or right corner of the page (if you're on a mobile web browser)
- From the drop-down, select "Profile"
- Click on “Two-step verification” and ensure it is enabled. If it is not enabled, please enable it now to proceed.
- Under “Recovery code”, click on “Generate new code”.
Save the generated code. We recommend storing it in a password manager such as 1password or LastPass
