A recovery code is an alternate way to get into your account if you lose access to your device, or can’t receive your verification code through SMS or an authenticator app. We recommend storing your recovery code in a password manager such as 1password or LastPass.
This code can only be used once. After using your recovery code, you will need to generate a new one. For more information on generating a new recovery code, please see How do I generate a recovery code?
Please note that when a recovery code is used, two-step verification (2SV) will be automatically disabled. To re-enable it, please see How do I enable two-step verification (2SV)?
