There are two options when it comes to closing your Borrowell account - you can deactivate or delete your account.
Before moving forward, please note that deactivating/deleting your Borrowell account won't stop the subscription for any paid services you might have with us such as Credit Builder or Rent Advantage. To cancel those subscriptions, please contact us before proceeding.
Deactivate Account (Recommended)
- This will pause your credit monitoring service
- You'll stop receiving emails and credit score/report updates from Borrowell
- You have the flexibility to reactivate your account in the future if you wish to see your past credit score history prior to account deactivation
Delete Account
- This will permanently delete your Borrowell account and you won't be able to view your past credit scores in the future
- You'll stop receiving emails and credit score/report updates from Borrowell
How to Deactivate or Delete Your Account From Your Profile Settings
If you're using our mobile app:
- Go to "Account Settings" by tapping on this icon found at the top right corner of your screen
- Tap on "Edit Your Profile"
- Scroll down to the Manage Account section and click on "Deactivation"
- Important Note: To see the Delete Account option on your mobile app, you need to install the latest update for the Borrowell app. Alternatively, please follow the web instructions below.
If you're using a mobile browser or computer:
- Click your name or (depending on your device) found at the top corner of the page
- From the drop-down, select "Profile"
- On the right under Account Settings, select "Manage your account"
